Sophomore performance major Nolan White won Principal Trombone of the La Crosse Symphony.

Nolan White is a sophomore at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign pursing his bachelor’s degree in trombone performance. Nolan is currently Principal Trombone of the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra and has performed with groups such as the Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra and The Five Cities Baroque Festival. In 2025, Nolan competed as a finalist for the International Trombone Association’s Lewis Van Haney Philharmonic Prize.
