Printed Program Submission

Instructions for student recital programs and ensemble concert programs.

Programs for Student Recitals

Printed on single sheet recital paper, 8.5″ x 11.” All student degree or required recitals are expected to be printed on official recital paper according to the template below. Non-degree recitals may use this format, but this is not required.

Review the Recital Program Style Guide.

Use the Student Recital Template (MS Word Doc).

Note: these are templates, the presenter is responsible for preparing their program according to these templates to be ready to print. The School of Music does not provide editing or proofreading services. Edit and proofread your program PRIOR to submission.

Submit your program for printing. (upload MS Word Doc) at least two weeks before your recital. Filenames should begin with the date (YYYY-MM-DD) and title. (example: “2023-10-31 Student Recital John Doe Flute”).

Submissions received less than two weeks (14 days) prior to the event will have a late fee of $10 charged to your student account (charges applied every 8 weeks). Completion of late submissions is subject to personnel availability and cannot be guaranteed.

You will be notified when your programs are ready to be picked up.

Master Classes and Recital Programs for Faculty, Guests, and Studios

Use the Faculty/Guest/Studio recital template.

Submit your program for printing. (upload MS Word Doc) at least two weeks prior to the performance. Edit and proofread your program PRIOR to submission.

Be sure to include your program, personnel and any bios and/or program notes that will fit on a single sheet.

Texts and translations for sung works can be submitted as a separate document.

Concert Programs

For large ensembles and other major performances, including most events in KCPA. Folding program booklet with pre-printed cover, 7″ x 8.5″ finished size,

  1. Three (3) weeks prior to your concert, submit complete program info in MS Word following the Large ensemble concert template. Edit and proofread your program PRIOR to submission.
  2. We will set the program and send you a PDF for review.
  3. Edits, changes and updates may be emailed to music-pe@illinois.edu.
  4. Once printed, programs that take place in Krannert Center are delivered there. All other programs must be picked up from the Reception Desk unless alternate arrangements are made.
  5. Submissions received less than three weeks (21 days) prior to the event will have a late fee of $10 charged to the ensemble account (charges applied every 8 weeks). Completion of late submissions is subject to personnel availability and cannot be guaranteed.
