Lyric Theatre Audition Requirements
Undergraduate requirements (BMA)
- Sing two contrasting song selections (32-bars each; one of the two selections should be lyrical in nature).
- Perform a one-minute monologue.
- Musicianship assessment (no preparation required)

On-campus audition dates can be found here. It is highly recommended that all undergraduate Lyric Theatre candidates attend an on-campus or a Chicago Unifieds audition.
Undergraduate applicants who would like to submit a recorded audition should follow the steps outlined here. All students who submit a recorded audition will have a virtual interview with the faculty. Applicants can select their audition preference on their supplemental music form.
