Simon Tiffin
Simon Tiffin is a collaborative pianist, conductor, and vocal coach currently pursuing a Master of Music in Choral Music at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he also earned his undergraduate degree in Music: Open Studies. He serves as Music and Artistic Director of The Chorale in Champaign-Urbana and was recently Guest Conductor for the Birmingham County Music Festival Honors Chorus. Simon is the collaborative pianist for both the Central Illinois Youth Chorus (since 2022) and the University of Illinois Oratorio Society. As a performer, he was featured as piano soloist in Steve Hackman’s And I Love Her: The Beatles Reimagined at Stanford University’s Frost Amphitheater and later performed the orchestral version with the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra. He also sings tenor with the Music of the Baroque Chorus, most recently in Handel’s Theodora. Passionate about supporting young singers through meaningful ensemble collaboration, Simon is thrilled to return to ISYM this summer as the collaborative pianist for the Senior Chorus.
